Château Lafite Rothschild and Barons de Rothschild 2006 Vintage Champagne have a special place in Andorra

One of the most iconic champagne brands in French wine has arrived in Andorra from Bordeaux, France. “Barons de Rothschild 2006” is a champagne with a carefully maintained heritage, refinement and excellent quality.
A winery with a history
Located in the wine growing town of Pauillac in the Médoc region in Bordeaux, Château Lafite Rothschild has one of the largest vineyards in the area. While the terroir and the first vines date back to the sixteenth century, it was Jacques de Ségur (1680) and later Baron James de Rothschild (1868) who brought the vineyard forward in terms of expansion, production and quality.
After being beset by grape phylloxera and mildew and surviving two World Wars, it was Baron Elie de Rothschild who returned the vineyard to its former glory, turning it into the leading winery in the Médoc region.
Barons De Rothschild 2006 Vintage Champagne
Despite being one of the newer wines in the world of champagne, the brand commands respect and is associated with the prestige of the famous Bordeaux vineyard.
Tasting notes
Pale gold colour, fine bubbles, a full-flavoured, complete champagne. Aromas of summer fruits, honey and a hint of coffee. Very delicate, fresh and attractive champagne with a persistent aromatic intensity. Elegant and distinctive.
