The news of the scandal
To date, all the media have echoed the arrival in Andorra of “El Rubius”, one of the most popular streamers in recent years. What is not fair is that, as a result of this news, the country of the Pyrenees is reduced to a mere tax shelter or “tobacconist shop with a flag”, as some have referred to.
Although it is true that the Principality has one of the most competitive tax frameworks in the whole Europe, with a maximum of 10% on direct taxes (personal income tax, corporate income tax, income tax for non-tax residents, etc.), it is not the only attraction or the most considerable to install your next residence here.
What attractions can the Principality of Andorra offer to entrepreneurs, content creators or even great personalities?
- Rubén Doblas Gundersen himself, better known as “El Rubius”, has alleged that one of the main reasons why he moves his residence is the search for privacy. Andorra is characterized by achieving the perfect combo between a great city full of activity, shops and services, and quiet residential areas just minutes away. In addition, it is considered one of the safest countries, with one of the lowest crime rates in the world.
- The average age of the Andorran population has been below the European average for years. This, added to the fact that the Principality is the third country in the world with the fastest Internet connection -according to cable.co.uk-, has created an interesting networking nucleus where entrepreneurs and highly qualified people have been finding new ideas and projects to modernize the country more and more every day.
- Andorra stands out for the stability of the political and institutional system and, in addition, it barely has around 80,000 inhabitants. Although in recent years the number of elite athletes, influencers and/or top executives has increased considerably, there has never been a persecution of any personality by the media, nor is it contemplated. It is a cosmopolitan society with more than 100 nationalities that is dedicated mainly to tourism and commerce, so this type of scandals do not generate any interest.
